New Business Development Proposal

Posted on August 27, 2014 by Rolly Perreaux

Attention Microsoft Gold Partners

I thought I would try something different and appeal directly to Microsoft Gold Partners and give a presentation on Adding Microsoft Project Portfolio Management Services (PPM) to their consulting company’s services.

I’d present my insight on PPM and report on my research findings, give some recent market analysis and show the cross-market sales opportunities with current Microsoft Partner competencies.

But in the end, I’m essentially trying to make a business case to add Project Portfolio Management services because I’m looking to be hired for a leadership position in a consulting firm. And what better way to do this by educating the merits of PPM and include a brief sales pitch ;-)

I hope you enjoy it!

What happened to the Import Wizard?

Posted on April 25, 2014 by Rolly Perreaux

Funny thing that happened to me while doing some security testing on Project Server 2013. I was attempting to import some local resources from an .MPP file using the Import Resources to Enterprise wizard like I’ve done many many times before and the weirdest thing happened…

The current view would shift over (like it always does) but the Import Resources Wizard was missing.
Very Strange!!

Posted on November 27, 2012 by

So you just installed or have a new computer with Windows 8 and you’re attempting to access Project Web Access (PWA) on Project Server 2010. You can access the PWA site, but you receive the following error when selecting the Project Center:

“This Web Part requires at least Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0. For more information, contact your Project Server Administrator”

The same error occurs when accessing the Resource Center.
