FIX: Project Server 2010 Administrator Denied Access
Very strange situation happened in my test environment where the Project Server Administrator is denied access to some objects in the Server Settings in PWA.
In my situation I attempted to access the Active Directory Resource Pool Synchronization setting under the Operational Policies section.
Notice that I am logged in as Administrator (Domain Admins).
And I get the following HTTP 403 Forbidden error message:
“The website declined to show this webpage”
”This website requires you to log in”
What the Heck!! I’m logged in as Administrator which is also a member of the Domain Admins group. This was also the account used to install Project Server 2010.
This happened to a few of my students last month in class in Copenhagen, DK and we found a fix to this problem.
Now as strange as it seems, this is how you fix it:
1. Click the Back button.
2. Click Administrator and then click My Settings.
3. On the User information page, click Close.
And that’s it !!!
Now It’s Fixed
4 On the Server Settings page, click Active Directory Resource Pool Synchronization
