TechNet Webcast: Project Server 2010 – Demand Management (Level 200)

Posted on March 22, 2010 by

imageOn Wednesday, March 31, 2010, I will be presenting a Live TechNet Webcast session titled "Managing the Project Life Cycle with Demand Management".

Session Outline:

Demand Management, a new feature in Microsoft Project Server 2010, captures work proposals in one place and takes them through a multi-stage governance process using a SharePoint workflow model. In this presentation, we provide an overview of Demand Management and its importance in managing project life cycles, and we explain how to configure Demand Management and the required components

Just remember that it’s a Level 200 session so I won’t be getting into deep dive discussion of creating Custom Demand Management Workflows and such. Maybe that’ll be a future TechNet webcast? Winking smile

Hope to see you there.

The Largest Microsoft Pre-Configured Virtual Machine

Project & Project Server 2010 Exams – Microsoft Certification

Posted on March 06, 2010 by

When James Seymour from Microsoft Learning posted a blog entry on the Born to Learn site about the Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Certification Exams, I decided to email him to ask when he will be announcing the Project & Project Server 2010 exams.

J. was nice enough to reply back and say that they “don’t get as many requests about Project so I don’t have any immediate plans for a post about them.” Now that may surprise you, but you have to understand that in the world of Microsoft Certification, the number of people that took Project & Project Server 2007 exams were very low as compared to the WSS 3.0 and SharePoint Server 2007 exams.

So I took his message to mean that it’s really not on his radar, so I figured I had nothing to lose by asking him if I could blog about it. His reply?
