Project Web Access (PWA) Home Page Layout Map
Did you ever want to know what each area of the Project Web Access (PWA) home page does and what each area is called?
1. Address Bar
The location where the URL address is typed
2. Parent Link
Displays the Parent link or Home link.
3. Site Title
Displays the name of the site.
4. Top Link Bar
Displays all the sites within the Site Collection.
5. Quick Launch Bar
Located on the left side on every web page. This bar gives you quick access to web pages through links
6. Reminders Web Part
Reminders are listed on the PWA home page by default. It is a quick way for Team Members to receive pertinent information on Tasks, Timesheets, Approvals, Status Reports and Issues and Risks.
7. Project Workspaces Web Part
Displays all Project Workspace sites. A Project Workspace site is created when a Project Manager publishes their project to Project Server 2007. They include the following specialized lists for team collaboration:
- Project Documents
- Project Issues
- Project Risks
- Project Deliverables
8. Personal Menu
Displays the Personal Menu with the following choices available:
My Settings: Update your user information, regional settings and alerts.
Sign in as a Different User: Log on to PWA as a different user.
Request Access: Where you can request access
Sign Out: Log out from the site.
Personalize this Page: Create a personalized version of the Web Parts page by adding, removing or updating web parts.
Show Personal View: Displays the PWA home page with your personalized web parts.
9. Help Link
Opens a new window for the Project Server Help page
10. Search
You can search for text or files on PWA by using the search box. When you perform a search, your query searches only at the current site and any subsites below it.
11. Site Actions Menu
Displays the following options available:
Create: Where you can create a new SharePoint items, such as lists, document libraries, discussion boards, surveys, page or site.
Edit Page: Allows you to add, remove or update Web Parts on current the page.
Site Settings: Allows you to manage the site settings.
